Manga: Chou ni Haru hi (roughly) Rating: PG Title: For Whom the Bell Tolls Author's Notes: This is roughly based off of the manga Chou ni Haru hi, so there will be many similarities between the two. Additionally, there is a slight familiarity here with my other pieces of fiction.

I've neglected my livejournal so much!
College is over! Now onto graduate school! |
|
I hope everyone had a happy holiday season! I'm sorry I haven't posted much, but this is my last year of college, and I have no idea where I will be in half a year. I'm working on my chemistry thesis and senior voice recital, too (which you all must go to if you are anywhere in Maine in April!).
So happy holidays everyone! And a happy new year!
PS: Amanda, we have to hang out before winter break ends! |

Hey, I have 6 userpics for Livejournal now. When did this ever happen? I need to find cute icons... |

So, I don't post often. But after all the grad school applications and presentations and things, I will post more!
I got music by the Korean group V.O.S. recently, both albums, and they're really good! I absolutely love them. Three man group, great voices, everything from ballads to more r&b to more soul. Kim Kyung Rok was on X-Man recently. Cute, funny dude, did the Lovers in Paris skits. I recommend the popular songs Time Limit and Noonul Boko Malhaeyo. Kyung Rok's solo song The Reason for Separation is good, too. And Sweet Girl is awesome. It has a band, soul feel.
Also listened to Timeless by Jang Rin and Xiah from DBSK, the former no. 2 song. It's really quite a bad song. They sound absolutely horrible together, one soft and one hard, and there's pretty much nothing terribly interesting beyond the music besides a bit of a Chinese tilt. I don't know how it ranked so highly.
For tv, I'm really excited about the new Supernatural season. I'm a little disappointed in Grey's Anatomy, though. And I'm tempted to watch Friday Night Lights for Early Edition duder.

So...my cute computer of 3 1/2 years may be dead.
All my music is gone! And my schoolwork. But my music! Oh no!
In conclusion, I probably won't be online very consistently until I get a new computer.

I'm sick. And I haven't posted here a lot. And I'm too busy. And whiny. Oh well.
In other news, Peter Parker is adorable.

Oh, my. I haven't updated in forever. Goodness gracious.
In other news, I'm in my HUGE room at college doing summer research in chemistry, and I am staring at my windows which take up an entire wall. Yay.
Since everyone has already seen it, I'd just like to say that I liked the action scenes in X-Men 3. And Scott was MISPLACED. Seriously.
And Suikoden V is the funnest thing ever! And the main character is so squee-worthy! And I don't remember where I'm at, but I'm past the middle of the game and already have secret OTPs in my head. SO GOOD.

| » Spring Break! |
It is spring break, and I am a happy little kitty.
I have been stuffed with food all week, have gotten two games (Wild Arms 4! Riviera!), and have been slacking off in work, and am finally updating.
I have read lots of smut and watched anime and reality tv and korean game shows that I do not quite understand most of the time.
And today, I will get my hair cut for the first time ever at a salon.
Yes, happy little kitten.

Yay! Lab got out early!
I am back from France and have been back for some time, but I am
remarkable at not updating. I'm not really sure why, but oh
well. I'm taking five classes and a bunch of other things (and
one class with an evil, evil lady who went to Wellesley...), so this
semester's not going to be fun.
Oh, if anyone wants a postcard or something from France, leave me an
address. I couldn't carry much stuff back with me, so I don't
really have souvenirs besides pictures and postcards. I'll upload
them soon, maybe. Speaking of which, wishpaper,
do you still want me to upload Kelly Clarkson songs?
And does anyone have recommendations for good anime that has come
out? I haven't gotten into a series in quite some time. I
had high hopes for Paradise Kiss since I love the manga, but it's not
really doing it for me...
And I want both Wild Arms games that are out...I am sadly lacking in the game playing department, too...

Quick entry before racing off to the dentist.
Holidays were fun. Got a cybershot camera - wasn't really expecting any gifts.
I'm going to probably be internetless for the next month, cuz I'm going to FRANCE! Hell yeah! Anyone want anything cheap? (Thanks for the card, joyeuxnoel!)
All right, the dentist is calling my name. And if anyone has the entire Junjou Romantica, I will be very happy if I can bum it off of you...

Hey, all!
My life is crazy now, with finals around the corner. And then I'll go to France, with my kick-ass (not really) French!
Here's me singing Gretchen am Spinnrade, by Schubert, at the voice recital.

My voice is a little brighter b/c of the recording. It's usually a bit fuller (deeper) in sound.
In other news, theresesaga buys a lot of comics.

Goodness gracious. I haven't updated in forever.
I'm at Wellesley right now for Thanksgiving, in theresesaga's bio lab and listening to music. Yay.
I haven't seen the new Harry Potter movie, but I want to. But I have finally seen the last Star Wars movie (a loooooong time ago), and I must say, at the beginning of the movie, Anakin/Obi-Wan was kind of an interesting pairing when I thought about it (damn you, naanima!). But Anakin really is a stupid little bugger, and Padme was pretty damn useless in that movie. Not to mention Mace should've owned both Anakin's and Palpatine's asses. The highlight of the movie was definitely Obi-Wan chopping off Anakin's limbs, though. It was the funniest thing ever. And I guess this should be under lj-cut, but I'm lazy and kind of forget how to do those things.
Btw, theresesaga, you should hurry and beta my fics. And give them titles, cuz I always have a hard time deciding what to name them. And buy me more Dragon Knights manga.
The student studio voice recital is next week. I'm singing Gretchen am Spinnrade (Schubert). Should be really fun. I'm glad I'm a lyric spinto soprano. Spintos are the schiznitz, yo. And the concerto competition is next Friday - I'm singing Summertime by Gershwin. It's kind of short, though, so I don't think I'll get picked. That, and the music faculty minus one like, hates me. Oh well.

Hell yeah.
My glee cannot be contained. It is sad when I get this happy about getting out of lab early. Awesome.
On the other hand, I am completely hooked on all, say, one manga volume of Kagerou Nostalgia that I've read. Not including the volume released by ADV, b/c I don't know where they started with that. It's sad that I can't really find anything about it.

| » I'M ALIVE |
I think my subject line speaks for itself.
I am back at college, and I think chemistry and music will eat me alive. That's all I do...too much work!
Oh, well. Good for the soul, maybe. And I'm singing well so far this year.
The new Full Metal Alchemist RPG for the Game Boy Advance in Japan looks reaaaaally cool. I really want it. If just to control Roy and kick ass. And burn everything.
Final Fantasy Advent Children was awesome as well. The story was a bit bland, but the graphics were awesome. Cloud's my favorite, and he was cool, and Tifa's a favorite, and she was cool (she so could've beaten him up!). Ah, this game makes me feel both sad and happy for everyone at once. I love all the characters.
I have a few fics left to post and one unfinished fic that I began in the summer. If only theresesaga would beta! And give me those Hong Kong movies.
Hong Kong movies are quite a blast. Go watch them, I say...
